  • Timeless, durable and classic - leather only gets better as it ages. Add a touch of craftsmanship to your home with a handmade leather plant holder. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll work with beautiful Canadian vegetable-tanned hides to create a simple yet striking hanging holder that shows off your favorite plant in style. Over the course of three hours, you’ll be introduced to the basics of leatherworking while completing a finished piece that’s both functional and decorative. Discover why leather has been a material of choice for makers for centuries. No prior experience is required — just a love for plants and a willingness to learn.

    • An introduction to working with vegetable-tanned leather

    • Cutting, punching, and shaping techniques for leather projects

    • Using basic leather tools safely and effectively

    • Simple macrame for a hanging plant holder

    • Finishing techniques for clean edges and durability

    • Vegetable tanned 3-4oz leather hide
