The Woven Wolf is an online community of curious makers who love and appreciate tradition, craftsmanship and attention to detail. We create high quality sewing tutorials, patterns, and kits. Our goal is to bring our awesome “in-person” tailoring classes to your home, wherever you might be. Maybe you’re too busy to sign up for a weekly class, or maybe you live somewhere where you don’t have access to a sewing studio? No worries. With The Woven Wolf, you can learn to sew from anywhere.

We do most of our sewing on the Janome 625E Sewist. It’s a sturdy, reliable machine and we highly recommend it. We’ve used it to sew everything from beginner pillowcases to silk chiffon wedding dresses – it’s always easy to use and our students love them! We use the Janome XG43D for all of our serging. We teach exclusively on Janome machines because we find them to be reliable and we highly recommend them to students.
We also use and recommend Titech scissors, Schmetz needles, Unique hand sewing needles, Clover silk pins for sewing delicate fabrics and Klasse pins for everything else. These are just some of the brands and equipment we recommend to our students. If you’re looking to invest in a pair of high-end scissors, we also recommend Gingher.
For fabrics, we use high-quality quilting cottons from brands such as Cotton & Steel, Ruby Star Society, Tula Pink, Art Gallery, Alexander Henry, Kona Bay, Free Spirit and many others.

Digital Pattern Help
-
A downloadable PDF pattern is a normal sewing pattern that’s been broken into “tiles” so that you can print it on 8.5″ x 11″ paper using a home printer. You will need to clip and tape these pieces together using scotch tape before cutting out the pattern pieces in their correct size. Make sure that your printer is set to 100% under the “Scale” settings.
Check out our Free Tutorials section for instructions on how to do this properly!

You will be emailed a download link to your digital pattern, shortly after your purchase is completed.
