Our Studio. Our Story.

Welcome to The Woven Wolf - where DIY meets adventure.

Our story begins with a shared vision: to merge the worlds of DIY creativity with outdoor adventure, empowering individuals to craft their own gear and inspiring them to embark on unforgettable outdoor experiences.

We believe in the power of hands-on learning to foster self-sufficiency and resilience. Founded by a former garment engineer with a passion for functional design, and an outdoor enthusiast with years of experience guiding and coaching, our small business is dedicated to offering unique and transformative learning experiences.

Drawing on our shared backgrounds, we have created a space where learners can discover the joy of creating while immersing themselves in the beauty of the South Georgian Bay area.

Our Space.

Our dream teaching studio in downtown Collingwood offers a bright, well lit and well equipped space, complete with all the machines, tools, drafting tables and equipment you'll need to bring your ideas to life. We provide Janome 625e straight stitch machines, sergers, coverstitch machines, plus an industrial walking foot machine, an MQ-1000 quilting machine, as well as a wide range of patterns, fabrics, projects and tools.

Our Purpose.

Living in an area renowned for its skiing, mountain biking, great lakes surf and trail running, we understand the importance of having gear that not only performs well but also reflects your individual style and preferences. We're excited to offer specialized classes where you can learn to design and create your own athletic gear. From custom-fitted ski jackets, to neoprene rash guards, durable bike bags or affordable merino, the possibilities are endless when you have the skills and knowledge to bring your ideas to life.

It's not just about the end product; it's about the journey of discovery and self-expression that comes with making your own gear. Whether you're hitting the slopes or exploring rugged mountain trails, there's a unique sense of pride that comes from knowing you crafted your gear with your own two hands. With our expert guidance, you'll gain the confidence to tackle any project and unleash your creativity in new and exciting ways.

Our Programs.

We believe that learning should be a journey of exploration, empowerment, and connection.

Our small, intimate classes offer a supportive environment where learners can delve into the intricacies of technical design, pattern drafting, sewing and quilting, mending and alterations, functional outdoor tailoring and practical leather working. Students can hone their skills in the studio with intermediate and advanced garment making, plus advanced bra, underwear and corset making. Or they can customize the experience through one-on-one private classes, or studio drop-ins.

Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, our expert instructors are here to guide you every step of the way.

Our classes are about more than just mastering techniques; they're about fostering a sense of community and connection. In today's fast-paced world, we often forget the value of slowing down and engaging with others in meaningful ways. That's why we intentionally keep our class sizes small, allowing for personalized attention and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow learners who share your passion for creativity and adventure.

Coming in 2025, we will also be offering a teaching studio for  leather working, leather bag making and sandal making.
