Quilting Cotton is a stable, non-slippery fabric with minimal fraying that is perfect for beginners to learn to cut and sew with. This type of fabric is ideal for all our simple beginner tutorials. This fabric will shrink 2-3% when washed so it is recommended to pre-wash in hot water if you intend to use it for making garments. You will not need to pre-wash for bags, quilts or pillows.

This is fabric is OEKO-TEX certified. Cotton is also biodegradable, a process which returns carbon to the soil and enriches it, and it does not produce micro-plastics during its lifecycle.
