The Archer Button Up is a loosely fitted button up shirt with slightly dropped shoulders and long sleeves. View A has a traditional box pleat at the back yoke and angled cuffs while View B has a gathered lower back detail and straight cuffs.

We use this pattern for teaching basic shirt making techniques to beginner/intermediate students, and the instructions are excellent. Great range of sizes makes this a great choice for everyone. Can be made a size or two up for an oversized fit.

Techniques involved include sewing a straight seam, setting sleeves, creating continuous button plackets, adding a shirt collar and inserting buttons & buttonholes.

    Sew-All Polyester Thread
    (1) - ⅜'' button
    (8) - ½'' buttons

    Interfacing: Light to medium weight woven fusible interfacing.

    Fabric requirements:

    Main Fabric: Light to medium weight woven fabrics ranging from silk charmeuse, crepe de chine, cotton shirting, poplin, chambray, sateen, lightweight to mid-weight denim, linen, linen blends, and flannel. Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, and directional prints.
