The Cypress Cape is a lightweight, layering piece for all of your outdoor adventures or casual outings. Wide semi-circular sleeves and a hood make it the perfect companion when walking or biking, while slipping it over jeans and a shirt make for a relaxed look.

The cape is unlined, keeping it light and packable. All hems are bound with bias tape for a clean finish. The front zipper is covered by a windflap with velcro closures, and pleats at the centre back add a beautiful detail. Let’s not forget about the flap pockets to store your wallet, keys and other goodies!

Make it with waterproof fabric to keep yourself dry on those rainy days. You also have the option of reflective piping along seamlines for extra visibility. Rain or shine, you’ll be ready with the Cypress Cape!

  • Tools, Notions or Trim requirements:

    Sew-All Polyester Thread

    24" (60cm) separating zipper

    8" (20cm) piece of velcro tape cut into 1" (2.5cm) pieces

    8 yards (7.3m) of ½" (1.2cm) wide single fold bias tape.

    Optional: 4 yards (3.7m) reflective piping and additional bias tape.

    Fabric requirements:

    Lightweight woven fabrics such as ripstop nylon and rainwear fabrics
