  • Embroidery fabrics should be stable, tightly woven cotton or linen with a high thread count. Beginners will have an easier time with these choices.

    More experienced embroidery artists may wish to experiment with unconventional, vintage or novelty fabrics, which can also work with the addition of an iron-on backing for stability and very fine-point needles.

Please Note: Iron-on embroidery transfers are a simple way to place a design onto fabric for hand embroidery. The printed sheet contains special transfer ink that can be applied to fabric using the heat of an iron. To use, place the design face-down on your fabric, press with a hot, dry iron for a few seconds, and lift to reveal the transferred outline. The design can then be stitched over using your favourite embroidery techniques.Will imprint multiple times onto fabric, leather, card stock, wood. Store in a cool, dry place.
