Dry Oilskin, Oilskin (lined version only), Waxed Canvas, Woollens, Cotton Canvas, Waterproofed Cottons and Twill. Using something like waxed canvas will ensure it keeps it structural shape, but we think it would look equally good in something more slinky like a Tencel Twill.
For the ribbing neckline, we have used rib that stretches by half again, i.e. 10cm piece stretches to 15cm.
For the lining we would recommend using cotton poplin in a neutral colour if you are making the oilskin version. Other lining options; Brushed Cotton, Kasha, Cotton Poplin, or a medium weight slip lining in viscose or acetate.
