Prerequisite: DIY 1 or some sewing experience

  • Stay warm, stylish, and ready for anything on the slopes with your very own over-helmet fleece hood. Designed to fit comfortably over ski or snowboard helmets, this hood combines function with style. Students will work with 200 or 300 weight Polartec fleece (available for purchase at the studio in a vibrant assortment of colours ) learning professional techniques to sew a functional fleece ski and snowboarding hood that’s both cozy and durable. By the end of class, you’ll have a fully finished hood with a face covering that’s perfect for cold weather sports, après-ski adventures, or simply making a neon statement on slopes.

    • Cutting and sewing/serging mid weight Polartec fleece

    • Reinforcing elastic channels for durability

    • Adding finishing touches such as drawcords and pulls

    • Professional techniques for clean edges and topstitching

    • 0.75m Polartec Fleece, 200 or 300 weight for neck/body

    • 0.5m Polartec Fleece, 200 or 300 weight for hood in contrasting colour

    • 2.5m elastic paracord

    • 4 plastic cord locks

    We recommend purchasing materials at our studio 15 minutes before your class starts to ensure you have everything you need.
